Lifeguard

For individuals aged 17 yrs or older (by July1st) who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills by working with children in a residential camp setting.  Candidates should be open-minded, energetic, outgoing, and have some comfort and experience with children. Individuals should be strong problem solvers and able to think quickly on their feet.  *Must* provide current lifeguard certification (N.L.S.) by July 1st and current CPR or First Aid Certification by July 1st.  Prior experience in an aquatics environment is preferred.  Experience in canoeing is an asset, but not required.

Do you have a passion and desire to work with children in an aquatics setting?  Are you willing to do what it takes to ensure that every camper has an amazing experience?  Are you energetic, open-minded, and outgoing?  If these questions appeal to you, then you may be the perfect candidate to work with us as one of our lifeguards!  Working as a lifeguard affords the opportunity to increase your skills and knowledge with children of a variety of ages, in a variety of settings.  Expand your skills in our pool and canoe environments, game design and leadership, public speaking, and behavioural management.  In addition to aquatics supervision and leadership, interact with and lead children in a variety of activities, both indoor and outdoor.
