For individuals aged 16 yrs (by July 1st) who are interested in learning about child development, personal growth, and expanding their skills through a counsellor training program while working directly with children in a residential camp setting. If 18 years of age and older, a Police Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check is required before commencement of employment. If under 18 years of age, a Voluntary Disclosure (form will be provided), is required to be signed by the employee and their parent or legal guardian and submitted to Camp Vincent.

Interested in working at camp this summer? Earn a little money, and learn to lead songs, games, work with children of all abilities and build your confidence, resume and interview skills! Find out what it’s like to work as a part of our staff doing the greatest job in the world – camp counsellor! Candidates are provided with an employment reference from Camp Vincent upon successful completion of the program. Application and interview process required.
C.I.T. Training is not mandatory for future summer employment, but successful completion of the program is considered a strong asset for future employment opportunities. The training program emphasizes skill building and youth leadership through an in depth training program. Due to the nature of the program, successful applicants are offered a minor compensation for the completion of each week, with the possibility of taking on more responsibility (with compensation) through the summer if the opportunity arises and skills and attitude have been sufficiently developed.
