Camp Counsellor

For individuals aged 17 yrs or older (by July 1st) who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills by working with children in a residential camp setting.  If under 18 years of age, a Voluntary Disclosure (form will be provided), is required to be signed by the employee and their parent or legal guardian and submitted to Camp Vincent.

If 18 years of age and older, a Police Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check is required before commencement of employment

Candidates should be open-minded, energetic, outgoing, and have some comfort and experience with children. Individuals should be strong problem solvers and able to think quickly on their feet.

Description

Do you have a passion and desire to work with children? Do you want to work with children in one of the most amazing settings ever? Are you willing to do what it takes to ensure that your campers have an amazing experience? Are you goofy, energetic, open-minded, and outgoing? If these questions appeal to you, then you may be the perfect candidate to work with us as a camp counsellor!  Working as a camp counsellor affords the opportunity to increase your skills and knowledge with children of a variety of ages, in a variety of settings. Expand your skills in game design and leadership, public speaking, and behavioural management. Interact with and lead children in a variety of activities, both indoor and outdoor. Many people consider working as a camp counsellor to be one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives!
