Caretaker

For individuals aged 18 yrs or older (by July 1st) who are interested in maintaining our camp grounds, buildings, and facilities.  A Police Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check is required before commencement of employment. 

Day to day operation, testing and maintenance of Camp Vincent’s drinking water system. This will require the Camp Caretaker to complete a course to become a “Trained Person” as defined by O. Reg. 170/03 of the Safe Drinking Water Act. Camp Vincent will pay for this course.

The Camp Caretaker ensures the cleanliness and general care and maintenance of the camp facilities and grounds.   This individual should be interested in contributing to the experience of children who attend our camp.

Description

We are searching for a mature individual who is meticulous, organized, and very self-motivated to assist in the care of our camp grounds. Our camp grounds encompass 10 cabins, a large rec hall and staff area, bathroom and shower building, and dining hall. Experience in cleaning and sanitization, as well as minor maintenance and up-keep is an asset. Candidates must have understanding of the importance of cleanliness in an environment for children.  Residential accommodations during each camp week (Sunday-Friday) provided, but Camp Caretaker is not required to live on site. Details to be discussed during the interview, and finalized upon the successful applicant’s acceptance of the position.
